Bring your boat in for a
tune-up and make sure it is in tip top shape for the season. This
can make your engine run at optimum performance and thus use less fuel.
With the fuel prices of today, you want to do everything you can to
conserve fuel. Be sure the bottom of your boat is clean
and free of deposits and debris this will put less drag on the boat and
conserve fuel. Take with you only the items you truly need, limiting
the amount of weight you have in the boat will make your engine work less,
therefore conserving fuel. Or upgrade your old carbureted outboard
engine to a new fuel injected Evinrude ETEC engine and gain
50%
fuel economy! That would give you extra time boating for the same
amount of fuel as your old engine. |

Don't be left on the shore, have your boat
checked out before you go to the water the first time. Be sure
not to forget the trailer that gets your boat to the water. |
